Its been craft day on QVC day today so whilst watching the programmes I have been busy making cards up in the loft.

This card was made using blonde moments sugar dumpling background paper, the cute companions alphabets which for the ‘N’ I sewed onto a piece of pink felt. The edge of the background paper was stickles glue for a bit of sparkle. The flower in the corner is made from felt cut out in a die cutting machine. (You didnt think I would of cut it out by hand!). This card is in my ebay shop http://stores.shop.ebay.co.uk/Handmade-By-LJM. I also have added a personalised ’Thomas’ and ’Harry’ card.
Talking about hands – I have been to the doctors as I seem to have a trapped nerve in my finger. This has been caused by using scissors to much to cut out alphabets from my cute companions CD. Whilst I’m thoroughly enjoying the extra crafting I’m managing to do lately, I wasnt expecting have an industrial injury in the process!
My mam’s friend, Pam, is 65 today so I made her a couple of special cards. The first one was made using the flippin women range from La Pashe. The flower stamps on the front are from U-Mount, coloured using watercolour pencils and decoupaged. The name text is rubber stamped using word stamps from Anna Griffin.

This card is made using the ‘Remember when’ range from La Pashe which I have mounted on to an A4 card (A3 in half). They are lovely decoupage images to work with and are very oldie wordie hence why I added lace to the background.

Well I’m off to catch up with Dawn Bibby on QVC.
Take care

I completed the Jolly Nation cards which I started in the car on the way to Richmond on Friday and they are now on Ebay. The images are really cute and I’m sure you can relate to the people in them. There’s the teenager rock chick, the new home couple, the toddler.

Miss Bennet and Mr Darcy - Pride and Prejudice
The card above reminded me of my A Level English literature days when I studied Pride and Prejudice. The opening lines will be etched in my mind forever, ‘It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a wife’.
We’ve had a particularly lazy day today with a walk to the local shops for some wine for gifts, lunch, couple of loads of washing, cleaning / tidying of house, tea, some cards on ebay and what do you know its nearly 21:00!
I’ve completed the comical large ladies images which I’ll get on the blog as soon as I’ve assembled them onto a card as they are really funny. You would have to know the recipient quite well to get away with sending them fat lady cards. I’ve had the images for ages as I bought them at the Papercraft Extravaganza in Harrogate a couple of year ago. On that subject I cant go to the September event as its on my first wedding anniversary and we’re staying at our wedding venue (free of charge due to problems we had with the arrangements). Whilst I’m looking forward to our night away I also look forward to my crafty trip away with my friend Sandra. You cant put craft before your husband – can you? Only kidding dear (as I know you read this).
I seem to be on a card making burst at the minute and outside of the Pandora mini book I completed last week I havent done any scrapbooking for ages and I really need and want to do our wedding and honeymoon pages. I’m sure I’ll get round to it soon.
Well I’m off to have a bath and watch Big Brother!
Goodnght

Hubby went out this afternoon to watch the footie so I took myself up into the loft and finished off some cards I began making during the week. I love my loft and I really go into my own world when I’m up here - time just flies by.Finished cards are now in my ebay shop - http://stores.shop.ebay.co.uk/Handmade-By-LJM__W0QQ_armrsZ1.
I’ve got some more to finish off so will have more added later this week. We took my Mam to her cousins in Richmond, North Yorkshire yesterday and during the journey I cut out of decoupage images which I have had for a while and recently found them while moving my ’stuff’ up into the loft.
I’ve got some miscellaneous items to add into my ebay shop which I have kept in a box from my move into the loft – such as videos, punchcraft equipment, books and maybe some cross stitch magazines (I havent decided whether or not to keep them!).
We went to the caravan at Rothbury today, just for lunch, which was nice. Its location is south facing with fabulous views over the cheviots. We couldnt stay with my mam being away there would be no one to feed the cat and rabbits. It was a good drive out with the weather being so nice.
Well, must go as I need to make up the bed before we can go to sleep and my bath is ready.
Goodnight

We spent the morning with my nephew Jake at the soft play. It was his first time and he loved it. It was lovely seeing him doing something new and enjoying it so much. The room we were in was very warm so it was quite tiring.
I completed my pandora book this evening – I have intended doing this book since last September when my husband bought me my first bracelet and a large selection of beads for my wedding present. The bracelet now only has space for one more bead and I wanted to keep a record of who had bought we what beads. I used my bind-it-all to bind A5 sheets of card and used black and white themed paper which I had in my stash for a co-ordinated look throughout the book.

Happy days….my new craft workspace is complete and I love it! It took three weeks and a lot of dust and dirt but it was very well worth it. I spent last weekend completing the tidy up and finding a home for everything and its now a lovely relaxing place to chill and be crafty.
I am lucky to have this space as I know many crafters are confined to the dining room table or a corner in a spare room. I also have a very understanding husband!
The before picture.

My fab space.

Today has been a relaxing Sunday, with lunch at the in-laws and a trip to the diy store to get some wood to fix the bunnies hutch. Hubby spent the afternoon sorting the hutch out whilst I had a friend around for a cuppa. I hasten to add I have been busy this morning doing the housework throughout the house – so its not all chat and tea!
We went to visit my mam this afternoon and then home for a ‘picky’ tea (thats a buffet tea for those who dont know what I’m talking about!).
Hubby is playing on his computer with a friend so I have brought myself upstairs into my space to catch up with my blog and to get creative. So now the blog is updated, I’ll sign off and get cutting and glueing!

I had a lovely night last night at the New Hartley Brownies. They invited me to have a stall at their charity night. They hold their brownies in a local church hall and when I arrived the jewellery stand was to be setup in the Church – which was a new location for me to sell my jewellery but very nice. Unfortunately, I didnt take my camera so dont have any pics to load up. They raised £130 which was good for the hour which it was on for.
Its always nice to do these events and I gladly gave a couple of pieces to the raffle.
I had my 20wk scan last week and all is great with baby which was a relief. We’ve starting buying a little more and are going down to Nottingham this weekend to a warehouse which sells everything you need for the baby so hopefully we’ll get a few more necessities. Not that we anywhere to put things at the moment as we can emptied the loft contents into our spare rooms in preparation for the loft conversion in a couple of weeks. The work starts when I’l away at Wimbledon so goodness knows what mess I’ll come back to!
My crafty equipment at the moment is housed on the living room chair as I can barely get into my craft room so the sooner the loft is done the better and I can stop crafting at the dining room table or on the settee with my lap tray!
I’ve got a list of cards which I need to get made for friends who have ordered cards and I have quite a few cards of my own which I need to get done. Once I get crafting I’ll display to results.

I received my first Easter card today so I thought it was time I started to make mine! I have gone for a personlised theme this year and used two willing models – my bunnies, Charlie (on the right) and Buster (on the left).

Our own Easter bunnies
I used my Greeting Card Factory software to add the photo and text so it was a nice and quick card but very unique!

We seem to have been so busy of late hence the lack of blogging! So here’s a little catch up with pics.
My gift to hubby for valentines day was a stay in Chillingham Castle (reportedly the most haunted castle in Britain!). I booked the Lookout Tower for two nights at the end of Feb and we were very nervous – not a relaxing weekend! The first night was very sleepless as I was expecting to wake up and see something at the end of the bed, so I decided it was best to stay awake. Except a one point I had dosed off and hubby nudged me to tell me he was going to the toilet and I nearly passed out as I thought the nudge was to tell me he’d seen something! On the second night we did the Castle Ghost Tour which lasted two hours (£20 each) and worth it. You dont have to be staying at the Castle to go on the tour. The girl who showed us around was good and explain a lot of the history of the Castle – its been a particularly nasty place. The visit to the torture chamber with original pieces of torture equipment was particularly stomach churning. The castle website doesnt show many pictures of the accommodation so I have included some below (can you see the orbs?)
The lookout tower is the apartment on the top floor of the right hand tower.

Earlier this month, we travelled down to London to see Harry Hill’s TV Burp being recorded at the Teddington Studios nr Kingston. I dont have any photos of the event as you couldnt take any. It was interesting seeing how the show is put together if not a little daft near the end when he pretended to chop off his hand with a cleaver and then out his hand in a food processor. We stayed over and had a walk around London on the way back to Kings Cross and saw the sights.

The London Eye
Last weekend was spent getting the caravan ready in Rothbury for the season. We spent the day on Saturday cleaning it inside and out and getting the planters all full up and it looked lovely when done. We dont get to spend as much time as we would like up there because of the cat and rabbits at home but it is a lovely relaxing place.

Spring flowers at the caravan
Well thats the catch up. I’ve got some cards to make this week so I’ll get them on later and there’s not been much crafting going on lately.
Goodnight

Not much happening on the craft front at the minute except arranging for a loft conversion to move my craft room up there and to free up another bedroom. Its a lot of work but I’m excited about having a real craft space and kitting it out to suit my needs. I do have some photos to add of our stay at Chillingham Castle ( the most haunted castle in Britain - and we stayed there for two nights!) at the end of Feb and my new cake class. I promise to get the blog updated over the weekend. We’re off to see Harry Hill’s TV Burp being recorded in London on Thursday evening – we come back on Friday.
I must also get some Mothers Day cards sorted. I want to get some on Ebay over the weekend to catch the last minute buyers. Hopefully I’ll get them sorted when I get back from London.
Catch up soon – I promise!

We’ve had a very productive day in our house today. In the morning, Hubby cleaned and polished the fire. I cleaned the bathroom and tidied upstaris. After lunch (probably too soon after as I got indigestion!) we cleared the decking of all of the pots – which are looking very sad and not very clolourful at this time of year - and started power washing the green moss from the decking. Its come up a treat. The bunnies werent too happy as they got a little wet during the process and I forgot to take in my washing of the washing line so had to wash it again as it got splashed with dirty water! Its very therapeutic having a good clean!
I took hubby into town this afternoon so he could watch the Newcastle v Everton match and then I went into work for an hour to do some testing.
On the way home I went to see my Nephew, Jake for an hour. He’s 14months old and is developing such a cute character and is really clever for such a young child.
I’m going to get a little crafting done now before its time to pick up hubby then its Ross Kemp In Afghanistan on sky one tonight which we love watching.
Most of this weekend my thoughts have been with Jade Goody, its such a tragic situation, and only being recently married myself I know how important today will of been her to in normal circumstances nevermind with the prospect of such a short time with Husband.
Hope your weekend has been a good one.
